I am a director.  Always have been, I think.  As a modern dance choreographer, folks used to tell me that I sounded like a director - I just seem to see the world that way. 

 

I am interested in communication - are we hearing each other? Are we even listening?

 

I create work with am emphasis on theatricality and metaphor that allow audiences multiple entry points into the ideas of the playwright and the exchanges between actors.

My role is to explore difficult ideas and to share what I learn in a way that allows audiences to explore as well.  I prefer to do this in an environment where everyone feels empowered and inspired to do their best work.
